John Widdis (Marine Engineer) is the Facilities Operations Manager, Project Manager, Maintenance, Bio-Medical Services, Parking & Security for Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, a medium sized hospital in Collingwood, Ontario.
Over the past 29 years at CGMH, John has been involved in a number of roles and managed numerous projects and upgrades with success. Many of these have positively impacted the patient experience with the introduction of Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI) engineered products for the Emergency Department renovation and the current two year patient room/public restrooms renovation project. The new engineered infection control technologies will enhance patient, visitor and staff safety, while also providing valuable data for future healthcare.
